To create art that impact on people and share My experience to inspire

How would you describe your own style?

I’m a contemporary visual artist, working with feathers to create art. I describe my own style as a feather collage or mixed media since I add acrylic paint. I look at feathers as a symbol of audacity and freedom. Working around themes of hope, joy, resilience and persistence. My major subject are children.

What expectations were placed on you when you were a child?

I discovered my self as a visual artist at an early age. But I was born and raised in the community which did not appreciate art as a productive field. Growing my talent in this community has always been a hustle but I was clear with my vision till I graduated. That is why I use my story as a weapon to inspire. So the significant material of feathers in my work is a symbol of audacity and freedom inspired by their function to the bird. I.e flying is seen as success and it’s everyone’s dream to achieve success. Hence my subject being children depicted with flights of hope, joy and happiness.

What profession could you be in if you were not an artist?

My mind was basically on art and associated fields. But I would be a teach of Art, Product designing and development, interior and exterior designing, 3D modeling (architecture) or urban planning. Or a volley baller on the other hand
